We see it everywhere:
โ๐๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐๐ ๐ฒ? ๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐.โ
No. Thatโs not a strategy.
Thatโs a tool looking for a purpose.
The real question is WHY AI?
โ To improve customer experience?
โ To reduce cost?
โ To grow revenue?
โ ...
Thatโs (could be) your strategic objective. AI is just a means.
Too many teams fall in love with their initiatives: Metaverse 3 years ago, AI today, Quantum computing tomorrow? They execute hard. They are very busy.
But busy doesn't mean impactful. As Henry David Thoreau said: โIt is not enough to be busyโฆ what are we busy about?โ
The shift:
Donโt be a Strategic Initiative Doer.
Be a Strategic Objective Achiever. Focus on the expected strategic outcomes. Kill what doesnโt move the needle.
Otherwiseโฆ Youโre just partying on the AI boat. ๐พ
